We recently upgraded to a Newmar 44 foot Class A RV and wanted to find some of the best luxury RV Resorts in Florida to visit. Many of the RV Resorts cannot accommodate Class A Big Rigs like ours, so I created a list showing where they all are located in Florida.
The 19 Best Florida Luxury RV Resorts
There are 19 luxury RV Resorts in Florida that can accommodate Class A Big Rigs and others are in development. These luxury RV Resorts are spread throughout Florida and specifically cater to Class A Big Rig RVs.

RV Resorts on the North West Coast of Florida- Panhandle
Starting in the Northwest corner of Florida, let’s take a tour of all the RV Resorts that can accommodate Class A Motorcoaches as we head south in order of location.
The Florida Panhandle is very different than the rest of the state. Most people think of Florida as being very tropical, but this part of the state has more of a southern flair like Georgia or Alabama. Often called “Old Florida”, this section of the state offers plenty of forested land that is rimmed in the south by beautiful beaches. You might hike in the forest one day, and lay on the beach the next.

The Central West Coast of Florida offers many beaches and attractions. Tampa has a famous historic downtown area nicknamed “Cigar City” and has access to an international airport.

RV Resorts in South Florida- The Florida Keys
The Florida Keys are a diver’s paradise and should not be missed on a tour of Florida. The waters are spectacular shades of blues and greens and the water is crystal clear. Visiting the Keys is like visiting a tropical island but with all the amenities you have at home.
Don’t be discouraged if you cannot get a reservation in one of the outstanding RV Resorts below, because there are actually 23 RV Parks located throughout the Keys.

Luxury RV Resort Alternatives
What happens if you cannot get reservations for one of the luxury RV Resorts and still want to visit Florida during the peak season or during a holiday? You may be able to book a site at Sun RV Resorts or Encore RV Resorts. Although not as luxurious or spacious as the ones on our list, some can still accommodate Big Rigs and we’ve had pleasant stays at several. When to Visit Florida in Your RV
The high season for North Florida is in the summer months when schools are out. Central and South Florida are busiest during the winter, generally November-April.
Are Reservations Necessary for an RV Resort?
Due to the limited number of RV Parks that can accommodate Class A RVs, reservations are strongly recommended. Caution, if your travel plans change and you cancel, you will most likely forfeit your deposit.
