The Four Regions of Texas
The four regions of Texas are the Coastal, the Central, the Great Plains, and the Mountains and Basins, and we found the best RV Resorts in each of them.
Of the four regions of Texas, the Coastal Region is the largest. It covers all of the borders of the Gulf of Mexico up through Southeast Texas and has about 350 miles of beachfront shoreline.
Most of the population of Texas lives in the coastal regions and the major cities include Houston, Galveston, and Dallas.
Galveston is an island with about 30 miles of beaches on the Gulf Coast of Texas. You will find the famous three huge glass pyramids of Moody Gardens here. Moody Gardens has an incredible aquarium, a rainforest habitat, and even a seaside golf course. Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is located on the south shore and is home to lots of amusement rides and restaurants. Galveston Island State Park is located on the West side of the island and is the place you will want to visit for bird watching, hiking, kayaking or fishing.
